Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.  (Psalm 25:4-5, NKJV, emphasis added)

The Lord’s eyes are on the truth and we know this through waiting on Him with hope.

O LORD, are not Your eyes on the truth?   (Jeremiah 5:3, NKJV)

Sometimes the simplest questions deserve the simplest answers.  Are the eyes of the LORD on truth?  Of course God’s eyes are on the truth.  Because the Lord is truth and acts in truth He sets His gaze upon the truth constantly.  Whatever God accomplishes by His will, as we have seen previously, is done in truth.  Because we want to do the will of the Lord we are to have the same mind and pursue God’s will in truth.  Wait on the Lord and fix your eyes on the truth, to act as God desires you to.  Wait on the Lord.

God will reveal truth and we receive this revelation by waiting upon Him.

Waiting on God is the process by which He changes us into whom He desires us to be.  A big part of the process of waiting is done to perceive the will of the Lord.  This will comes through revelation.  We all desire to follow the truth if we are developing Christian character.  If we are to seek out God we are seeking His truth.

Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.  (Jeremiah 33:6, NKJV)

God’s desire is to make us whole and restore to us to what we were created to be – completely His.  For those who wait upon the Lord healing of the soul is available.  A healed heart is a heart ready to receive revelation.  Not just a little revelation, but an abundance of revelation is stored up for us to receive.  Peace and truth are coupled in this verse to point out a truth to be understood.  Peace between God and man leads to a healed relationship.  Truth will proceed from the Father to His restored people.  Wait on the Lord with great hope.

But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth.  (Daniel 10:21, NKJV)

The Word of God is our truth.  The Lord has communicated plainly to us.  Start with the Word of God always and weigh any revelation you think you have received against it.

You will give truth to Jacob and mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.  (Micah 7:20, NKJV)

Mercy and truth are coupled once again.  To Abraham the child of promise was born and to Abraham’s seed truth was given to Jacob.  The truth of God is in the promises of His Word.  Learn the Word of the Lord and wait hopefully upon Him.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  (John 16:13, NKJV)

When He, the Spirit of truth, has come.  The Holy Spirit was given to the Church on Pentecost as described in Acts Chapter 2.  From that point onward the disciple is empowered from on high to grow, mature, and to do the acts prepared beforehand by the Father.  The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth because God is truth.  When man is indwelt by the Holy Spirit he can perceive the truth.  We learn how to discern the truth and allow God to work in us by waiting on Him with hope.

He will guide you onto all truth.  We have no need to struggle to find the will of God.  The Holy Spirit will guide us to the truth.  We just need to yield to the Spirit moment by moment and He will direct us in the ways and paths we are to travel upon.   Wait on the Lord and yield to the Spirit of truth.

Because we are to live for today pray to submit to the Holy Spirit moment by moment.
