Your kingdom come.  Your will be done.  On earth as it is in heaven.  (Matthew 6:10)

All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  (Matthew 28:18)

I am with you always, even to the end of the age.  (Matthew 28:20)

He gives the Holy Spirit and we Yield to the Holy Spirit

As the One with the authority Christ gives the Holy Spirit (John 20:22 and Acts 2:33) to His warriors in the field on earth.  These passages make it clear it is the risen Lord who pours out the Holy Spirit upon His disciples to empower them for their mission.  John 20:22 is John’s account of the Commission and Acts 2:33 is Peter’s sermon given on Pentecost when the Spirit was poured out upon Christ’s church, His called out warriors for the Revolution.

Christ gives the Holy Spirit from above, from heaven (Matthew 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; Luke 11:13; John 1:32-33; John 14:15-18; and John 15:26).  In all these passages we note the Holy Spirit is given from above, where all authority resides.  It is as if Christ has come to battle beside His troops as His Helper, the Holy Spirit resides in us and for the Kingdom.

Our authority from heaven is exercised on earth when we yield to the Holy Spirit (Romans 8; Acts 5:32; and Galatians 5:25).  Romans 8 is an illustration of the victorious life lived by the Spirit.  All the tools are given to us to be victorious.  All that is required is to submit to the authority of Christ in the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit will only work in those who are obedient (Acts 5:32) though all believers have Him residing in them.  Galatians 5:25 is also a reminder that obedience matters because to walk is to order your life as a constant active manner of living – it is moment by moment obedience and yielding to the Holy Spirit.  We will be more than conquerors Romans 8:37 tells us in summation of the results of the Spirit-followed life.  Victory will be ours.

Our empowerment for battle is the Holy Spirit (John 16:5-15; Galatians 3:5; Matthew 10:20; Mark 13:11; Luke 12:12; John 14:26; John 16:13; Acts 1:5, 8; Acts 2:4, 38; and Acts 4:8, 31).  It is to our advantage that Jesus finished His earthly ministry and has given us the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7) because He will guide us in battle (John 16:13) as He softens up the field of battle for us (John 16:8-10).  We will be victorious because this will glorify the Father (John 16:14-15).  God will supply His Spirit and will work the miracles we need to be victorious (Galatians 3:5).  We do not need to worry about what to say because the Holy Spirit will tell us what to say (Matthew 10:20; Mark 13:11; and Luke 12:12).  The Holy Spirit will help us remember all that we need to complete our Revolution as we need to recall the orders (John 14:26).  The Holy Spirit will always lead us to the truth as we yield to Him (John 16:13), the battle plan will be known.  We shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is operating upon us (Acts 1:8); it is heavenly weaponry that we use to fight the battle of the Revolution.  The Holy Spirit is constantly being poured out on the early Church in the books of Acts to empower for the Revolution (Acts 1:5, 8; 2:4, 38; and 4:8, 31 just to get you started).  We do not go into the battle without being empowered.
